e-Invoicing is not a PDF
Confusion over the term "e-invoicing" has led some to believe that sending a PDF file is the same as an e-invoice. A PDF is a picture of an invoice. Once it's sent, the biller has no further information. It's probably opened, printed and sent through a payment process where it may be lost, forgotten, or parked in an "in" box waiting for approval.
inXpay's AR ManagerSM sends a secure email link to the payer. The moment the invoice is opened, the biller's monitoring screen updates that invoice from "sent" to "viewed". When the payer initiates payment, the status changes from "viewed" to "payment scheduled" in real time.
